The Laboratory of Psychophysics at the EPFL investigates all sorts of visual information processing in all sorts of observers, including healthy students, sports(wo)men, elderly, and psychiatric patients. We use behavioral paradigms and imaging techniques such as EEG, fMRI, and TMS. In research on healthy aging, we administer batteries of perceptual and cognitive tests, questionnaires related to lifestyle and nutrition, analyze metabolites, and study how much perceptual and cognitive performance deficits correlate with metabolites, lifestyle, and nutrition.
