The group of Cardiometabolic Physiology is focusing its research on the impact of nutrition on human metabolism.  We are developing and testing targeted and holistic nutritional approaches to manage blood glucose or body weight to lower risk of type-2 diabetes or its comorbidities. Our clinical competences allow to identify novel solutions to lower postprandial glucose and to better understand interactions between nutrients and their time of consumption on human glucose metabolism. A recent focus of the group is on personalized nutrition for a more efficient glucose management in population developing prediabetes or type-2 diabetes.
