Department for Cell Physiology and Metabolism - Centre Medical Universitaire - UNIGE We study lipid metabolism, the regulation of cellular membranes homeostasis and their roles in human pathologies, such as infections and Alzheimer. We developed a special interest on the molecular machinery involved in the creation and maintenance of lipid gradients in eukaryotic cells, and the study of mechanisms by which lipid signatures are sensed and “read” by effector proteins. We developed novel (bio)chemical methods integrating mass spectrometry, proteomics, lipidomics, microfluidics, bioinformatics and the principles of systems biology to map cellular protein-lipid networks.
