Department of Ecology and Evolution - UNIL - Group Leader, Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics Research in our group is mainly focused on linking the evolution of animal development to genome evolution. The group develops database for evolutionary biology, and studies genome evolution in vertebrates. Our two main bioinformatics efforts are Bgee and Selectome. Bgee provides gene expression information across tissues, developmental stages and species. Selectome provides estimates of positive selection on genes trees, including orthologs and paralogs.
We have collaborations in functional genomics, where we focus on the continuum between development and aging, and the comparison of genetic networks and transcriptome modules between species.
