And the winner of the first LIMNA PhD prize for the best thesis in Metabolism is...

The first LIMNA PhD prize for the best doctoral thesis in Metabolism discussed at the UNIL, UNIGE or EPFL in 2019-2020 goes to Dr. Haiping Wang!

Her thesis on "CD36-mediated metabolic adaptation supports regulatory T cell survival and function in tumors"  was elaborated in the laboratory of Prof. Ping-Chih Ho, in the Oncology Departement UNIL-CHUV and Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Lausanne Branch, UNIL and successfully discussed in June 2020. Dr. Wang is pursuing her successful scientific career in the lab of Prof. Mirko Trajkovski in the Department of cell physiology and metabolism, at the University of Geneva.

The prize committee was very much impressed by the excellent reaserch work, the outstanding productivity, impact and also the way the scientific content was described. The vote was nearly unanimous.
