Postdoctoral position in molecular neuroscience

Post‐doctoral position available in the Laboratory of Behavioral Genetics (Prof. Carmen Sandi) at the Brain Mind Institute, EPFL, Lausanne. The laboratory is investigating the impact and mechanisms whereby stress and personality affect brain function and behavior, with a focus on the social domain.

A Swiss National Science Foundation-funded postdoctoral position is available to investigate the molecular architecture of motivation in a cell-type specific manner

We search candidates with a track record on the analyses of gene expression (e.g., RNA sequencing, RNAscope, Cartana) and bioinformatic skills. Experience with Ribotag and/or TRAP approaches would be an asset. Expertise in one or several of the following areas will be additionally valued, but not required: behavioral testing; mitochondria and metabolism; neural circuit characterization.

The qualified candidate should have a PhD and able to work independently and in collaboration. He/she must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as a strong research track-record.

The research will be conducted at the Laboratory of Behavioral Genetics
