DR AMATI BRUNO

Bruno Amati graduated in Molecular Biology at the University of Geneva, obtained his PhD at the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC) in Lausanne, and was a postdoc at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) in London. He started his research group in 1994 at ISREC, moved in 1999 to the DNAX Research Institute in Palo Alto, California, and in 2003 joined the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan. Since 2011, he also is the Director of the Center for Genomic of IIT@SEMM, an outstation of the Italian Institute of Tecnology (IIT) in Milan. His research focuses on the function of the c-Myc oncoprotein in growth control, tumor development and gene regulation, with particular attention to chromatin interactions and regulation by c-Myc.
