Dr. Cedric Moro has been actively working in the field of obesity and type 2 diabetes since 2001. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2005 at the Pennington Biomedical Research Centre (Louisiana, USA), where he thereafter worked as a post-doc. Cedric Moro is now principal investigator first class at Inserm and leads a research group at the Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases in Toulouse (France). His main research activity focuses on the physiological and molecular determinants of insulin resistance with a specific interest for skeletal muscle energy metabolism.
